More of Squillarah's OCs

There's more than Stimpen and Renimpy to complain about.

Priscilla and Barbra

Spongebob and Patrick should never have offspring.
These are my Spongebob Squarepants fan characters Priscilla and Barbra they are the offspring of Spongebob and Patrick. They have four other kids Bentley, Paddy, Bobrick and pashmina.
Jesus Christ. I have to ask why this author/artist thinks two males can have children but that's beside the point.  Also, how do stupid parents take care of six kids?

There's not much to say about these other than they were poorly written.

Crimson and Purpureus

no
These are my Invader Zim fan characters Crimson and his brother Purpureus they are the offspring of Tallest Red and Purple. They use to be named Purple Jr. and Red Jr. (nicknamed RJ and PJ) but I changed it to sound more original though they do still go by the nicknames RJ and PJ.
if your wondering what Purpureus means it's a shade of purple.

pLEASE HELP ME

I would review his American Dad OCs next, but I don't watch American Dad so I have no right to review them.
I'm not going over the Breadwinners OCs either. That's territory too dangerous for me.

That's all.

  2. Part one:
"Mary Sue" and "Gary Stu" characters exist because creators have a common set of values and opinion of a set combination of characteristics. While, of course they're not as "original" as other characters, they are no less characters than any other character in any canon. WHy, I feel like any character can be considered a "Mary Sue" just because it is a character. Many canon characters share personality or backstory characteristics but are never criticized in the way that you seem to be criticizing fancharacters. All characters that are created are just an outlet for the creator's inner thoughts and desires. Whether they are original or not shouldn't matter; they're just a way for a person to express themselves. This kind of criticism feels like a personal attack to many many creators, and, while you are always entitled to your opinion, you need to understand that creators can take your words personally because they ARE personal.

Fancharacters are just a way of the creator to say "I love this canon so much that a large part of me is influenced by it, and I want to show that to the world." Being a "Sue" doesn't take away from that at all, but rather gives the most positive characteristics that a creator has for a character. While of course this may not be the best way to represent that part of the creator for that series, it does show that the creator puts very high values and characteristics in that part of them as a person. The only opinion that matters of characters like this is the creator's, since the character represents them. Fan-made characters are no less representative of a person's feelings for a canon than any other form of fan art they or anybody else produces for the show. And since it is created by a person outside of the canon creators of the stories and characters, everything that is fan-based is an interpretation of the canon. While many can disagree on those interpretations, none are less valid than any other.

The creator of the characters you show here and on the other page created these characters based on the combination of the two characters that are the "parents" that she chose for them. Taking the other two; Renimpy and Stimpen; for example, she combined the personalities of Ren and Stimpy and used her characters as an outlet to show that she interprets the two canon characters as having more similarities than the canon ever actually shows; she sees that Stimpy is just as clever and able to take charge as Ren is and has represented that opinion by making the child that looks like Stimpy act like Ren. Likewise for the child that looks like Ren.

  3. Part two:
All fancharacter creators know that their character is not part of the canon and never will be. They are only BASED on the canon that exist and doesn't necessarily have to follow it as the canon characters do. This allows many many combinations of characteristics and crossovers to exist in the fandom, and; as any other creation does; represents what the fan thinks about the canon and how they interpret it. Not knowing that fans create characters of homoromantic pairings shows that you have done literally no research on fancharacters in general. A very good portion of any "fanchildren" of any series arises out of the homoromantic relationships that the creator interprets from the canon. Their biology and ability to produce children is irrelevant to the creation of the character at all because they are not at all canon anyway. The fanchildren just show that the creator sees a very strong bond between the canon characters that can develop into the creation of a family with the canon characters and any children produced from that couple. The personality of the resulting fancharacter doesn't have any effect on the creator's interpretation of the canon; it just gives another view of their interpretation. Whether it's a combination of the parent's characteristics or a new personality all together doesn't detract whatsoever from the creator's passion for the canon.

Of course not all characters are going to be "winners" and appeal to the universal audience. That doesn't detract from the creator's passion for the canon either. Having "Sues" or just plain bad characters only shows exactly how important that part of the creator is to them as a whole. A character with no personality shows that the character isn't a large part of the creator. Now, determining whether a character has that quality is always up to individual audience members. Your opinion of these characters is as valid as mine; and while neither of our opinions should hold overly-significant influences on their creator, actual critiques of the characters should be made for the creator to evaluate. As i said, opinions of a character are often taken personally by the creator because the character is a part of them. Giving an opinion in the way that you seem to here doesn't tell the creator what you actually think about the characters because you didn't critique them. In fact, you didn't even give an actual opinion of the characters. You just said "no" and "run for the hills!" which I think you should do if you are going to cosplay Little Ricky in this manner. Real critiques show the positives and negatives of whatever is being reviewed; and your lack of true opinion here only gives an opinion to the audience reading it. I can guarantee that a lot less effort went into typing "please help me" than combining two canon designs into multiple characters.

  4. Part three:
Now, like I said, your opinion of these characters is just as valid as mine or anyone else's. The problem with this post is that you took the creator's art without permission and proceeded to put a negative view on it while not even giving credit to the creator whatsoever. While these characters don't show the best of what this creator can do, people that do know her are very aware that her original characters are very individual and creative. Your not giving an opportunity for your audience to see what else this creator has as far as talent for creating characters goes shows that you are not as dedicated to your opinion of these characters as she is to her ability is to make even superficial characters like these. It's just a rude little addition to a blog that I'm sure is full of similar postings of fan-made characters that really doesn't show anything specific to prove that you even have the ability to critique a character or its design. Oh well. At least you tried.

    1. I guess you've never seen a sue blog before.
There's no point in whining to sue reviewers, Just accept it and move on.

If Squill wants to keep making these OCs, that's fine. I just post what i think about the OCs.

You guys can enjoy OCs like these, that's a valid opinion and I'm fine with it. I may not like them, but you're free to praise them.

    2. Yet that doesn't give you the right to post other peoples art without their permission especially if your just going to bash them.So please remove these from your blog or I will report you.

    3. Normally I would just shoo you off, and at this point, that's all I feel like doing.
This is a sue blog. Sue blogs are where we rant about OCs we hate. Now, unlike the others, this isn't a "stop writing you horrible person" blog, it's an "I dislike this OC, but I don't care if it exists" blog.
According to the fair use copyright law, criticism is okay. I do not claim these images as my own, so I don't think this counts as sheer copyright infringement.
I won't remove this article, but I won't write another on your OCs again.
You can report me, but I assure you every other sue blog's been reported several times and still hasn't been taken down.
